Activated Studio moved Apiece Apart from Shopify to Headless Shopify, creating a fast, secure, flexible website that is easy to manage with a great customer experience.

What were some of your biggest pain point(s) on the old site?  Has the new project resolved these issues for you and your team?  If so, please describe.

One of our biggest challenges with the old site was not being able to showcase the incredible detail of many of our products. This made storytelling challenging and we were also limited in our ability to adjust landing pages and add storytelling components such as videos to help showcase the detail and the quality. The new site not only allows us to add video components, but the image quality is significantly better and even with this enhanced content our site is so much faster than it was before.

Have you received any feedback from customers on the new experience you’d be willing to share?

Yes! We’ve had so many comments related to the speed of the new site. Customers have specifically noted that managing and editing their cart is so much easier now and has made the shopping experience more enjoyable and efficient.

The cart is making highly efficient and secure API calls to the Shopify API.

How does the new site architecture open up new possibilities as a marketer and merchandiser?

With the added and customizable components and landing pages we’re able to adjust the look and feel of each page in real time and help better showcase the details of each product and the stories behind our collections. The possibilities are endless!

Composable Landing Pages with Product Cards

A custom design system with a component library and composable landing pages allows the client to build new layouts with product cards, slideshows, full bleed images, videos, you name it.

Where do you see opportunities for new growth the site can help with?

The features of our new site give us the opportunity to showcase our product in a new and effective way, and connect better with our customers. From being able to use video on the homepage, to implementing a new and improved newsletter sign up, we have the ability to grow customer engagement and understanding of our product.

Can you describe your experience working with the Activated team on this ambitious endeavor?

The Activated team was there for us every step of the way on this project. From initial design overview meetings, down to the nitty gritty of testing each and every component on our new site. There were so many aspects we wanted to implement on our new site, and the Activated team carefully considered each one. Our Senior Technical Project Manager Amanda was there to answer any questions we had and met with us on a regular basis to review new updates. 

The new site launched about a month ago, has it had a positive impact on your sales?

Yes! We’ve already seen a significant increase in our CR, AOV and order volume since launch.
